This composition was commissioned for the marimba festival of Katarzyna Mycka in 2008. It is written for four performers on two marimbas. The rhythmic themes develop from different variations of patterns of nine with interlocking voices for all the performers. For this piece it is crucially important for the rhythmic unity of all the players in regard to the fundamental pulse and syncopation concepts. I employed various rhythmic theory methods in the construction of the composition, chiefly coming from South India, Ghana, and Burkina Faso (Balafon inspiration).
