    This is a short article from 2004 discussing some rhythmical concepts on how I approach "odd-meters", specifically in a fast cycle of 9 in relation to the music I perform with Rabih Abou-Khalil. It contains some rhythmic ideas coming from north and west Africa, as well as Iraq, Syria, and Spain.
