HI everyone! In this episode I speak a bit about 2 percussion instruments from South India, the clay pot Ghatam, and tambourine Kanjira. For those who maybe are not familiar with these instruments, they are 2 of the classical percussion instruments from Carnatic music. NIce day to everyone!
This is a quite brief and quick demonstration of a south Indian style percussion rhythmic sequence in 5/8, featuring the Ghatam (clay pot) and Kanjira (lizard skinned tambourine). Additional instruments are Eckermann Bass Kanjira, Eckermann Percussion Brooms, and 30cm Eckermann indian bell fitted Mizhar.
